Our History
To understand our origins, go back to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Zoltan Pocza fled Hungary with his family at 5 years old and settled in South Bend, Indiana. At 15, he met his future wife while working at a sewing factory, later moving to her hometown, Sherman, Texas. In 1982, Zoltan founded Royal Case Company, manufacturing custom cases. Decades of experience led to the creation of our brand, and in 2008 Condition 1 was born.
1956: A family arrives in America

Zoltan founded Royal Case Company in Sherman, Texas, making custom cases.
Growth to 15 plants in 7 countries
Royal Case grew into a group of 15 wholly owned plants in 7 countries, with more than 2,000 people.
2008: Condition 1 launches
Condition 1 launched in Sherman, Texas: waterproof hard cases designed, moulded and finished by the manufacturer.
2026: Condition 1 comes to Europe
RCC Europe Ltd. in Leamington Spa brings Condition 1 cases to customers across the UK and the EU.

Royal Case Company runs 15 wholly owned plants across 7 countries, with more than 2,000 people and over 23,000 square metres of manufacturing and warehouse space in North Texas alone. We design, mould and finish every Condition 1 case ourselves, so a distributor or foam fabricator deals with the manufacturer, not a middleman.
